The science
Not just botanical.
Clinically proven.

Bakuchiol is one of the most studied plant-based actives available. At 1% concentration — the gold standard used in clinical research — it has been shown to deliver the same results as retinol for wrinkles, skin tone, elasticity, and firmness. We source only the highest quality, science-backed bakuchiol and formulate it in small batches to ensure potency in every bottle.

Collagen
Stimulates production

Bakuchiol activates the same retinol receptors in skin responsible for collagen synthesis — supporting firmness and structural integrity over time without the inflammation retinol causes.

= Retinol
Clinically equivalent

Published clinical studies show bakuchiol at 1% is as effective as retinol for reducing fine lines, improving skin tone, and increasing elasticity — without any of the side effects that make retinol so hard to use consistently.

0 side effects
No purging or peeling

No adjustment period. No purging. No peeling or redness. No sun sensitivity. Renew works without the war on your skin — which means you can actually use it consistently enough to see real results.

"I formulate with 1% bakuchiol because that is the concentration the clinical research is based on. That is what is in your bottle — not a trace amount added for marketing purposes."

The difference
Bakuchiol vs. Retinol.
Why it matters.
Retinol
  • Causes purging, peeling, and redness during adjustment period
  • Increases sun sensitivity — PM use only, strict SPF required
  • Disrupts and compromises the skin barrier
  • Not recommended during pregnancy
  • Can cause long term sensitivity in reactive skin
  • Many people stop using it because the side effects are too difficult to manage
Bakuchiol — what is in Renew
  • No purging, no peeling, no redness — works from day one
  • No sun sensitivity — safe to use morning, night, or both
  • Supports and strengthens the skin barrier
  • Generally considered safe during pregnancy — always check with your provider
  • Well tolerated by sensitive, reactive, and compromised skin
  • Clinically proven equivalent results — the kind you can actually stick with
The ritual
How to use Renew

Use it morning, night, or both. No restrictions, no adjustment period. Start daily from day one and let the results build over time.

"Two drops. Thirty seconds. The nights you do not feel like doing your routine are the nights this matters most."

  • 1
    Cleanse and mist first

Melt to cleanse, Dew on damp skin. Renew absorbs best into clean pH-balanced skin so never skip these two steps.

  • 2
Two to three drops warmed in your palms

Rub your palms together to warm the serum. The frankincense and jasmine will bloom. Press into your face and neck while skin is still slightly damp from Dew.

Press and hold 10 seconds rather than rubbing
  • 3
Let it absorb — 60 seconds

Give it a full minute before anything else. In the morning follow with SPF. At night layer Glow over Renew if your skin needs extra hydration — it absorbs beautifully on top.

AM follow with SPF · PM layer Glow if needed
  • 4
Use every day — morning, night, or both

Unlike retinol there are zero restrictions on when you use Renew. No sun sensitivity, no rest days needed. The more consistently you use it the more the results compound over time.

No adjustment period — daily from day one

Questions
Common Questions
Yes — this is exactly who Renew was formulated for. Bakuchiol works through similar pathways to retinol but without triggering the inflammatory response that causes peeling and redness. There is no adjustment period, no purging phase, no sensitivity to manage. If retinol did not work for your skin, bakuchiol almost certainly will.
Yes. Unlike retinol, bakuchiol does not cause sun sensitivity. You can use Renew morning, night, or both without any concerns. Just follow with SPF in the morning as you would with any skincare routine.
Bakuchiol is generally considered a pregnancy-friendly alternative to retinol, and the botanical oils in this formula are gentle. That said, always check with your provider before adding anything new during pregnancy.
If you are trying Renew for the first time the 1 oz is a great place to start. At 2-3 pumps per use it lasts about 6 weeks of daily use. The 2 oz is the better value for long term use and gives you about 3 months per bottle.
Yes — frankincense and jasmine give Renew a warm, grounding scent that is part of the ritual. Beautiful.
You can, but most people who switch to Renew find they do not want to go back. If you want to use both, alternate nights rather than layering. Give Renew 6-8 weeks on its own first so you can see clearly what it is doing for your skin.
